Meet Chef Christina Sheardown

Christina Sheardown first came to this area in 2012 and ran the Blue Mountain banquets kitchen until 2018. Former chef of Andrews Roots, Duntroon Highlands, and Prime Seven Nine to name a few, Christina has been cooking for the last 24 years and has been a red seal chef since 2009. Christina has worked everywhere from small pubs to fine dining restaurants to banquet halls. She believes in the importance of seasonal, local cuisine and aspires to delight any palate that walks in the door.

Christina has now opened the doors to her very first restaurant. Sheardown’s is located on the main street in Meaford across from the Meaford Hall. Her menu reflects her belief in local, seasonal, wholesome fresh food and makes about 95% of the menu from scratch. She has a passion and commitment for hospitality, great food, and great local libations.

Sheardown’s also has a strong commitment to environmental practices, and the business always looks for new opportunities to reduce waste.

Christina also has a commitment to accessibility, with a removable ramp for wheelchair access. She believes in zero barriers in Hospitality.
